The BBA department invited Mr.Vikas Kumar Verma –Business Operations Manager – Accenture – on the 15th of Feb’2018 to apprise the 1st and final year students of the workings of the BPO industry. The major topic of discussion throughout the lecture was the nature of business handled by the call centers. Speaking on the subject , he mentioned that it is an agreement between two parties for a specific task to be assigned to a third party. Discussing terminology such as process excellence, industry explosion , gauging process and cost effectiveness , he added that BPOs were the most beneficial for businesses that required 24*7 assistance in customer care and support. Taking the students through the various processes handled by the BPOs , he said that BPOs had unlimited scope for professionals entering into the HR , Finance and Accounting fields as well.
The lecture concluded with Mr.Verma handling students queries on jobs in the BPOs.
